Sacred space is a field of blessed energy which is spiritually protected from any energies of the darkness. Its purpose is to provide a sanctuary in which to do healing and spiritual practice. Sacred space is created with through power of our intention and by invoking the Beings of the Light.
On the spiritual path, we will encounter forces that want to uplift us, as well as those that want to sabotage our progress and keep us in darkness.
The Law of Free Will states that every soul has the right to make its own choices, and thereby determine its spiritual destiny. Our psychic boundaries protect us from beings that might want to interfere with those choices. For this reason, they are essential for our spiritual autonomy and evolution. This is why all Beings of the Light respect our personal boundaries. But this is not so for the beings of the darkness. They seek to violate our boundaries, usurp our energy, and prevent us from progressing spiritually.
What can we do about this? If darkness had its way, no one would ever awaken spiritually, and we would all remain in a perpetual state of delusion.
Fortunately, this is not the case. The Spiritual Great Ones can offer support and protection. That is why all of those who seek to do spiritual practice, meditation, or healing, should request the protection of our Guides and other High Holy Beings so that we can create Sacred Space.
We create sacred space by invoking the powers of healing and of the Light. Either silently or out loud, we speak the names of the Spiritual Great Ones, and request their help. As has been said before, The Beings of the Light will not impose upon our free will. This is why they will not assist us unless we ask. Thus, invoking Their help is of the utmost importance when creating sacred space. A few examples of such Beings are Jesus Christ, and Buddha, but there are many, many more.1
We ask for Their help in creating a Sacred Space that is inviolate to any energies that might want to interfere with our healing process. As we do this, we create the powerful intention that only Beings of the highest love vibration may enter our Sacred Space.
- In addition to the Ones just mentioned, there are innumerable Spiritual Great Ones who bless and protect all beings who call out to them for support. Other examples are Mother Mary, Archangel Michael, Lord Krishna and the Goddess Lakshmi. Although they go by different names in different cultures, they are all embodiments of absolute Divine Love. ↩︎
