“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.”[1]
The sixth chakra, or spiritual eye, is the portal through which we can see into the spiritual dimension.[2] Through it we can perceive the highest truth. It parts the veil of time and space; for in that place, these relativistic illusions do not exist, but only the eternal now.
The ultimate reality of the Universe is love. Therefore, through the spiritual eye we can contact loved ones, whether separated by distance, or even by death.
The spiritual world is a realm of light. Through the spiritual eye, we can access tremendous amounts of spiritual light which can be used to heal and illuminate our body. Through it, we can commune with the spiritual Great Ones. That light can dispel all harmful energies that would interfere with our spiritual path.
If we feel we are unable to access the light of the spiritual eye on our own, we can do so by invoking those Beings that are of the light, such as Jesus Christ, Buddha, Krishna, Mother Mary, Quan Yin, and many others. These Beings have come to the Earth to dispel darkness. We can experience Them through that light, and we can experience the Light through Them, for They are synonymous with the Light.
The Spiritual Dimension is available to all of us through the sacred doorway of the spiritual eye. Through it we can directly experience Divine Source.
Doorway to Limitless Wisdom
When we gaze into the spiritual eye, we contact the Source of infinite wisdom. As we continue this practice, we will receive great spiritual insights as well as guidance in all aspects of life.
Awakening the spiritual eye will put us in contact with ultimate truth. However, many are not ready for this, but would prefer to live in a reality of personal desires and greed. Only do this practice if you are ready to place the highest spiritual verities above the things of this world. In the light of the spiritual eye, all illusions will be dispelled and the falsehoods within yourself and others will be revealed. The conceits of the ego will fall away and the Higher Self will be revealed.

The Importance of Consistent Regular Practice
The technique itself is very simple. However, like all spiritual endeavors, it can only be achieved through practice. All great gains in life are earned through perseverance and this is no exception – for only over days, months, and years of diligence do they bear fruit.
Invoking the Higher Beings
The sixth chakra is not only the doorway to the spiritual dimension, but also to other psychic realms as well – some dark and some light. This is why it is essential to invoke the Higher Beings before doing this meditation. They will guide you to higher planes of consciousness, and protect you from inadvertently contacting lower realities where the darkness could impede your spiritual progress.
If you don’t feel a personal connection with any of the Higher Beings, pray to some of those of Divine Love who were sent to help all humanity to awaken. As already mentioned, these include Jesus Christ, Buddha, Mother Mary, and other Great Ones of religions. There are many Beings who have been sent to uplift humankind, some heralded, and some working in humble obscurity. Call upon the Ones that bring you joy and resonate with your soul.
The Technique
Sit upright and relaxed in a chair (or if you prefer, cross legged on the floor, or in the lotus position). Gently place your attention deeply within, above and between the physical eyes. Do not strain or try too hard. Just gently relax and focus on this point. Do this for ten to twenty minutes once, or multiple times a day.
Eventually, a subtle spiritual light will appear in this location. The light should have a benign, soothing presence. Sometimes it appears as a dark spot with a ring of brilliant silver light around it. Do your best to merge with it. It is key to remain completely relaxed and through this process.
If you feel that you are not receiving results at first, simply persist with this meditation. Gains from the spiritual dimension are often subtle – especially when compared to the gross physical sensations we are normally accustomed to. Eventually, over time, your intuition will awaken and you will begin to receive mysterious yet accurate guidance that is beyond anything the rational mind could conjure.
But understand that because this guidance comes from Divine Source, it can only be used for the highest spiritual purposes. The most important of these is to support your Spiritual Awakening and that of others. For this reason, to achieve results, your motivation must be pure.
The Mind is Like a Radio:
“I am the Cosmic Beloved. I am broadcasting to you all the time. But are you ready to receive? Attune the radio receiver of your mind to My frequency and your life will be filled with blessings.”
The spiritual eye is like the radio receiver of the mind. Just like a radio, if you don’t use the tuner, you will experience nothing, or perhaps just random channels. But if you gently focus your attention on the spiritual eye, and visualize Jesus, you will begin to feel the Christ. Or if you attune to Buddha, you will begin to experience His wisdom. Do not be blank or passive when you focus within the spiritual eye; but do so with the highest spiritual intention. Realize it is the radio tuner of your mind, and focus on the Divine, or the spiritual Great Ones. Be patient, and with time, you will feel the Divine Presence.
“Meet Me Half Way”
If you want to contact the Divine, but the task seems too daunting, remember this: the Divine does not require you to do all the work! Just call upon It with all your heart and soul and make the best effort you can. If you can just get half of the way to It, It will reach out Its Loving Hand and assist you the rest of the way.
Many of us feel that contacting the Divine is just too difficult. When things feel dark and hopeless, remember we are not alone on this spiritual journey. If we keep praying and don’t give up, the Divine will be there for us in our hour of need.
